Kristin

By day (and sometimes through long night meetings), Kristin is a 23-year-old city hall journalist in Madison, Wisc. trying to navigate her way through the alphabet soup of local government acronyms. In her free time, though, she loves to unwind by trying new recipes or making up dishes as she goes along.

Besides food, she loves reading (including acquiring ridiculous numbers of used books), finding other people’s pets to snuggle and spending way too much time on her mediocre fantasy sports teams.

As a cook, Kristin specializes in soups and stews, but also frequently dips into baking. One of her biggest foodie struggles is balancing a long-nurtured frugality (thanks, Mom!) with more recent ethical and highbrow leanings. She also loves cheese in all forms, from Easy Mac to Port Salut.
