Emily
You may recognize Emily from her other foray into food on the web over at A Year On The French Diet. There she ribbons vegetables, braises cucumbers, makes weird flavors of ice cream and generally has a grand time in the kitchen, all in the name of eating on the Montignac Method. If you haven’t heard of it, the “French diet” involves a complex combination of eating with no sugar and low carbohydrates. It’s a lot more fun than it sounds (and it works).
Having just found out gluten was the thing that has been making her ill for years, she recently gave that up too. Thus, Emily will be your resident expert in all things low carb and sans sugar or wheat. Join her as she explores the complexities of being a serious foodie eating on a restricted diet in the Midwest.
When not in the kitchen, Emily spends her time with a large fluffy black lab and her fella, a Gnostic priest. Life is never boring! She is obsessed with reading, writing, socks and drinking lots of great wine. Someday she would even like to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up, but for now she writes poetry and sells wine and coffee to support her cooking habit.
